The model has received an expanded instrument panel.
A few days ago, the Lada Sport division officially announced the resumption of production of its flagship sports model, the Lada Vesta Sport, and now all the details about the car have been revealed. It has received a number of significant technical upgrades compared to its predecessor.
Under the hood is a modernized 1.8-liter engine. Engineers increased the compression ratio, modified the camshaft profile, and installed unique intake and exhaust systems. Total power has increased to 147 hp (previously 145 hp). The manufacturer, AvtoVAZ, recommends using AI-98 gasoline.
The engine is now paired with a 6-speed manual transmission, which improves acceleration dynamics and acoustic comfort.
The car has received a completely redesigned suspension with a lowered ride height of 158 mm, along with new springs and shock absorbers. The Electronic Stability Program (ESP) features unique calibrations and can be completely switched off, allowing the driver to maintain full control of the car at its limits.
The exterior body kit—bumpers, spoiler, and plastic fender flares—has been wind-tunnel tested and effectively reduces lift at high speeds. The Sport version differs from the standard Lada Vesta in more than 200 unique components.
Inside, the cabin features deep sports seats with a reinforced frame, a steering wheel with red stitching, and a digital instrument panel with extended functionality.
“The instrument cluster has a new Sport mode, which isn’t available in standard vehicles. It offers a special display mode showing engine utilization, torque usage, and power, as well as additional tabs that allow drivers to measure acceleration to 100 km/h or run a quarter-mile timing mode,” the company explained.
