MG IM6 Electric SUV: India launch imminent, 555 km range, and 800V fast-charging technology
British automaker MG Motor is preparing to bring another new electric SUV to India through its Premium Select retail channel. The company’s next major launch could be the MG IM6, which is expected to be introduced in the Indian market around October 2026.
This SUV will be brought in as a completely imported (CBU) model and is expected to be priced around ₹60 lakh (ex-showroom). The company will position it below the MG M9 in its premium lineup.
The third model in the MG Select lineup
The IM6 will be the third model under MG’s Select premium retail network. Previously, the company has introduced premium models like the:

MG first showcased the IM6 at the Auto Expo 2025, where it received a positive response from the audience. Following this response, the company planned to launch it in India.

What is the IM brand?
The IM6 falls under the IM (Intelligent Mobility) brand, a dedicated electric vehicle brand launched by MG’s parent company, SAIC Motor, in 2020.
