Dacia Striker: New Station Wagon Expected to Cost Only €23,900
While it seems like everyone else is only building SUVs, Dacia is delighting station wagon fans with a new model.
Renault has announced yet another new SUV, the “Boreal” (earlier reported as Bridger), and now its subsidiary Dacia is following with the Striker. However, unlike its parent company Renault, Dacia hasn’t fully embraced the SUV craze and is instead focusing on the still-existing station wagon market.
The Striker is intended to be a practical lifestyle station wagon, staying true to Dacia’s philosophy. So far, here’s what is known.
Dacia has revealed its next project and announced a new model: the Striker. The name was deliberately chosen and, with its “-er” ending, fits seamlessly into the brand’s current naming convention alongside the Dacia Duster, Dacia Jogger, and Dacia Bigster.

Dacia Striker – Station Wagon at a Bargain Price
The Striker will be a crossover/estate hybrid in the C-segment. With this model, Dacia is targeting established competitors such as the Skoda Octavia Combi and the Toyota Corolla Touring Sports.
The Striker is expected to fill the gap between the Duster and the Bigster in Dacia’s lineup.
According to initial, unconfirmed reports, the Striker could be around 4.60 meters long. The wheelbase may be similar to that of the Bigster, which would promise a spacious interior.
The design will be officially unveiled on March 10, 2026, at the Renault Group futuREeady event. The first concrete pricing and technical details are also expected to be revealed on that date.
Petrol and Hybrid Engines with Up to 155 hp
Under the hood, powertrains based on a 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine are likely to be used.
A probable option is the 1.2 TCe mild-hybrid engine with a 48-volt system, producing around 140 hp, paired with front-wheel drive and a manual transmission.
In addition, a 1.8-liter full hybrid system with a combined output of 155 hp could also be offered. This powertrain is similar to the one available in the Dacia Jogger and Dacia Bigster.
Expected Price Around €23,900
Initial price estimates from Romania are particularly interesting. Industry experts believe that the Striker will be priced below the Bigster.
A starting price of around €23,900 seems realistic. This would make it about €1,100 cheaper than a comparable Bigster with a hybrid drivetrain, positioning it as a strong competitor in the compact station wagon segment.
Continuing Dacia’s Value-for-Money Strategy
Dacia has built a strong reputation in recent years for offering vehicles with excellent value for money. Models like the Dacia Sandero have played a major role in strengthening this image.
With the introduction of the Bigster, the brand expanded its presence across the A, B, and C segments.
Since its relaunch in 2004, Dacia has sold more than 10 million vehicles worldwide, including over one million in Germany since 2005. The upcoming Striker is now expected to continue this success story.
