Next-Gen Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe Cabin Revealed with Fully Electric Drivetrain
Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the cabin of the second-generation Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe, which is set to launch in the coming weeks. The new generation marks a major shift for the four-door AMG sports car, as it adopts a fully electric drivetrain, replacing the previous 6-cylinder, V8, and V8 PHEV powertrains.
The interior embraces Mercedes’ new driver-centric cabin design philosophy, featuring a clean dashboard with three screens and a minimal number of switches. Unlike other Mercedes models with flat, single-piece dash fascias, the AMG GT 4-Door’s center console features a distinctive driver-side break, with the 14-inch central touchscreen angled toward the driver. The front passenger has a 14-inch screen, while the instrument cluster is a 10.2-inch unit.

The central console integrates tilted air conditioning vents, two wireless phone charging pads, a row of physical buttons, and three turbine-inspired dials with LED illumination to control drive modes and other vehicle settings.
Following the design cues of the new S-Class, the AMG GT 4-Door also incorporates physical switches on the steering spokes, along with rotary controls with embedded displays for drive mode and suspension adjustments—signature AMG touches.
The rear cabin comes standard with a two-seat layout, while an optional three-seat bench is available. However, the high center tunnel may limit comfort for the middle passenger.
On the exterior, the new AMG GT 4-Door draws inspiration from the AMG GT XX concept revealed last year. The sedan is built on the AMG.EA platform, AMG’s first dedicated electric vehicle architecture. Engine details are not yet official, but the concept model featured a three-motor setup producing up to 1,341 bhp, hinting at the potential performance of the production model.
