Most modern electric cars and SUVs support fast charging. If you charge your EV at a DC fast charging station, the cost will usually be higher because the battery can be charged in minutes instead of hours. This saves time but increases the charging price.
On the other hand, if you charge the EV at home using an AC charger, it will take longer. However, it is more convenient and generally cheaper than public charging stations.
How Much Does It Cost to Charge an EV at Home for One Hour?

If you charge your electric car at home using a standard 15-amp socket or a 7.2 kW AC wall-box charger, the power consumption can be around 7–8 units of electricity per hour.
In India, if the electricity rate is ₹6–₹7 per unit, the charging cost will be around:
