The engine is already known for its durability and off-road capability, which continues unchanged in the MY26 update.

Rivals in India

In India, the Isuzu V-Cross primarily competes with the Toyota Hilux in the lifestyle pickup space. However, due to the niche size of this segment, many buyers also cross-shop it with premium off-road SUVs.

Meanwhile, Mahindra & Mahindra is reportedly testing a pickup based on the Mahindra Scorpio N, which could further heat up this segment once launched.

Note: With added features, refreshed styling, and standard 4×4 capability, the 2026 Isuzu V-Cross strengthens its position in India’s niche lifestyle pickup segment—though the price hike may slightly impact value-focused buyers.
