Tesla CEO Elon Musk says the company will begin production of the Optimus V3 humanoid robot this summer and expects mass production to follow next year.
In a recent interview, Musk described the new version as “undoubtedly the most advanced robot in the world. Nothing will even come close to it,” asserting that competitors lag far behind Tesla’s technology.

Tesla plans to start pilot production of Optimus V3 this summer. After the pilot phase, the company expects to scale to high‑volume manufacturing within the next year, which should broaden the robot’s practical applications.
Musk added that development will continue beyond V3: engineers are already preparing Optimus 4, which the company says will introduce even more advanced capabilities and mark a major step in Tesla’s robotics roadmap.
