Deliveries begin for the T30 e‑motorcycle with a 200 km range on a full charge after a 7,530 km record run.
Chennai‑based Raptee.HV has begun large‑scale deliveries of the T30, marking its move from product development to commercial production after more than seven years of R&D. The T30 is priced at ₹2.39 lakh (ex‑showroom) and includes an eight‑year battery warranty and a three‑year vehicle warranty. Raptee provides a structured service network with dedicated contacts and roadside assistance.
7,530 km record: The T30 completed a 7,530 km cross‑country ride in 19 days, earning entries in the Asia Book of Records and the India Book of Records — the first time an electric motorcycle has covered this distance in India. The bike supports CCS2 DC fast charging, leveraging India’s public DC fast‑charger network.
Rider Bala Manikandan averaged 407 km per day — roughly 100 km more than his previous EV rides. At DC fast chargers the T30 charged in about 30 minutes; at AC chargers it reached 80% in roughly one hour. Despite frequent fast charging, battery health remained at 100% after the trip. The total trip time matched what a petrol motorcycle would typically require.
Charged 20–80% in 1 hour: “The T30 completed the journey without issues,” said Dinesh Arjun, CEO and co‑founder of Raptee.HV. The bike was developed over seven years with full in‑house control of hardware and software. The T30 (IDC range: 200 km) is priced at ₹2.39 lakh (ex‑showroom) and is bookable on Raptee’s website with a ₹1,000 token. Home charging takes the battery from 20% to 80% in about one hour.
Previous and international records: Manikandan previously set a 6,727 km EV motorcycle record on the Ultraviolet F77 in 22 days (2023), listed in the Asia and India Book of Records. Internationally, Timothy Marchinda (USA) logged an 18,727 km Guinness record across the United States (June–July 2022). Varge Motorcycles (Finland) set a single‑charge Guinness record of 310.689 km in Greater London (22 March 2025). Jean‑François Reumaux and Nathaniel Maury rode 673 km on a single charge in Laos (20 Feb 2023).
