Ferrari Unveils the Amalfi Spider: 640 hp, 0–100 kmph in 3.3 Seconds –

Ferrari has launched its latest supercar, the Amalfi Spider — a 2+2 soft-top convertible based on the Amalfi Coupe. It features a five-layer fabric roof and is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.9-litre V8 engine paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission.

The supercar is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.9-litre V8 engine producing 640 horsepower, paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds and reach a top speed of 320 km/h, placing it among the fastest convertibles in its segment.

Engine and Performance

The Amalfi Spider is powered by a 3.9-litre twin-turbocharged V8 producing 640 hp and 760 Nm of torque, driving the rear wheels through an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and reaches a top speed of 320 km/h.

Despite weighing 1,556 kg — 86 kg more than the coupe — the Spider matches the coupe’s 0–100 km/h time and completes the 0–200 km/h sprint in 9.4 seconds, actually 0.4 seconds quicker than the coupe. For enhanced handling, Ferrari has equipped the Spider with brake-by-wire technology and an active rear spoiler that generates up to 110 kg of downforce at 250 km/h with minimal drag penalty.

The Ferrari Amalfi Spider delivers exceptional performance thanks to its powerful turbocharged V8 engine.

Ferrari has also equipped the car with brake-by-wire technology and an active rear spoiler. The spoiler can generate up to 110 kg of downforce at speeds up to 250 km/h, improving stability without significantly increasing drag.

Convertible Design and Exterior

Design and Roof – The Amalfi Spider is available in four colour options, including the exclusive Rosso Tramonto paint finish, which Ferrari describes as producing a shimmering effect. The five-layer fabric roof opens in 13.5 seconds and folds to just 220 mm in thickness, preserving luggage space of 172 litres with the roof down and 255 litres with it up. Wind deflectors on the rear seat backrests help reduce cabin noise, and the roof’s NVH performance is in line with Ferrari’s hardtop models.
