GAC GS8 Hybrid Discontinued in Russia: 427 hp Lounge HEV Version Pulled From Lineup
The GAC GS8 Lounge HEV hybrid variant has been discontinued in Russia and removed from the current model lineup.
The hybrid was introduced in the Russian market in the summer of 2025 at a price of 5.4 million rubles, which remained unchanged through early 2026. The drivetrain paired a 2.0-litre petrol engine with an electric motor, delivering a combined system output of 427 hp.
No official reason has been given for the discontinuation. The remaining GAC GS8 trim levels continue to be available in Russia.
