This 7-seater SUV priced at ₹5.76 lakh is selling strongly, with over 2 lakh units already sold. Learn about its features.

Following the price reduction, the Renault Triber has crossed the 200,000-unit sales mark. Let’s take a closer look at its new price, features, mileage, and safety details.

When it comes to affordable 7-seater cars in the Indian market, customers usually prefer vehicles that offer more seating and good features at a low price. As a result, the price cut on this popular MPV quickly led to a surge in showroom footfall. Sales figures show that the car has surpassed the 200,000-unit milestone, and waiting periods are high in many cities.

Renault Triber sets a big record

Renault’s 7-seater MPV, the Renault Triber, has built a strong presence in the Indian market. By the end of January 2026, a total of 200,253 units had been sold. By December 2025, 34,238 units had been exported overseas. Launched in August 2019, this car has been among the company’s best-selling vehicles for the past six and a half years. It has become a reliable option for large families on a budget.

Price cuts boost demand

The facelifted model was launched in July last year with a starting price of ₹6.30 lakh. However, after the implementation of GST 2.0, the price was reduced to ₹5.76 lakh. This price cut had a direct impact on sales. Now, a 7-seater car is available at a hatchback-like price, making it even more attractive for middle-class families.

New design and improved features

Launched on July 23, 2025, the new model brings several updates. It gets a new front design, updated headlamps, LED DRLs, a slim gloss-black grille, and a new diamond logo. Inside, features include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, cruise control, auto headlamps, and auto-fold mirrors. These upgrades make the car feel more premium than before.

Engine and mileage

The new Triber is powered by a 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine that produces 72 bhp and 96 Nm of torque. It is available with both manual and AMT gearbox options. Mileage ranges between 19.59 and 19.76 km/l. A CNG kit can also be installed at the dealer level, which comes with a company warranty.

Strong on safety too

Safety features include six airbags, ABS with EBD, and front parking sensors as standard. Its low price, spacious cabin, and solid safety package have made the Renault Triber a popular choice among middle-class families.
