Skoda Auto India is targeting a 10–12% increase in sales for 2026, building on its strong performance of around 72,000 units sold in 2025. Despite this momentum, the company does not expect to surpass the 1 lakh annual sales milestone in the near future, as it focuses on steady and sustainable growth.
The brand’s strategy for 2026 revolves around multiple product interventions, including updates and new variants across its lineup. Key highlights include improvements to the Kylaq compact SUV, a facelifted version of the Kushaq, upcoming updates to the Kodiaq, and a refreshed Slavia sedan. Additionally, Skoda plans to introduce the Kylaq Sportline variant and reintroduce the Octavia RS in limited numbers to attract enthusiasts.
Alongside product enhancements, the company is expanding its dealership network from 183 to 200 cities by the end of the year, aiming to improve accessibility and increase sales across regions.
While the overall passenger vehicle market is projected to grow by 4–5% in 2026—following a robust 9.7% growth in 2025—Skoda aims to outperform industry trends and strengthen its position in the market. However, the company remains cautious due to global uncertainties, including geopolitical tensions that could impact fuel prices, supply chains, and consumer demand.
