Maruti Suzuki Sales March 2026: Strong Growth Despite Decline in Mini Segment
Maruti Suzuki India ended March 2026 and FY2026 with strong sales performance. The company’s total domestic and export sales crossed 2.25 lakh units in March, while its annual sales exceeded 2.4 million units.
The growth was mainly driven by strong demand in the compact and utility vehicle segments. However, the mini segment showed mixed performance, registering slight year-on-year (YoY) growth but a decline compared to the previous financial year.
Mini Segment Sales Performance
The mini segment, which includes the Maruti Alto K10 and Maruti S-Presso, recorded:
- March 2026: 11,741 units
- March 2025: 11,655 units
This reflects a YoY growth of 86 units.
However, on a financial year basis:
- FY2026: 112,291 units
- FY2025: 125,770 units
This shows a decline of 13,479 units, indicating reduced demand over the long term.
Notably, these are among the most affordable cars in India, with starting prices of around ₹3.50 lakh for Alto and ₹3.70 lakh for S-Presso.
