Tesla FSD Update Shows Smart Pull-Over Feature on Narrow Roads

Tesla’s Full Self-Driving system now intelligently pulls over to let faster vehicles pass. Here’s how the latest FSD evolution works in real-world driving.

Tesla’s FSD Evolution: Car Can Pull Over Automatically to Give Way

Tesla continues to refine its Full Self-Driving (FSD) technology with smarter real-world behavior.

Tesla owner @kylaschwaberow recently shared a video demonstrating how his car, operating in FSD mode, autonomously yielded to a driver who had been following closely on a narrow mountain road. The vehicle smoothly slowed down, pulled over toward the shoulder, and allowed the other driver to pass — all without coming to a complete stop.

I don’t think they’ve shown this before. On a winding mountain road, my car swerved to let a speeding driver pass behind me. Notice how my car didn’t even stop, it simply pulled over long enough to let the guy pass.

This example highlights the ongoing evolution of FSD. The system is increasingly behaving like a human driver, taking into account road context, safety considerations, and subtle real-world driving nuances.
