Chery’s Russian Replacement: The popular Tenet T4 has received a price hike in Russia. The Russian brand Tenet has increased prices for several variants of its most affordable crossover, with hikes ranging between 2.1% and 2.5%.
The price revision affects three trim levels from the 2025 lineup and two trims from the 2026 range.
Price Increase Details
For the 2025 model year, the base “Line” variant, powered by a 113 hp naturally aspirated engine with a manual transmission, has become more expensive. The “Active” variant, featuring a 147 hp engine and available in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations, has also seen a price increase. The new starting price now stands at 2,089,000 rubles.
In the 2026 lineup, price hikes apply to the entry-level Line variant with a manual gearbox and the Active variant equipped with a 147 hp turbocharged engine and front-wheel drive.
The standard Line model comes with a 1.5-litre, 113 hp engine, while higher variants feature a 147 hp turbocharged engine paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. In all-wheel-drive versions, the same engine is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Features and Safety
The Tenet T4 comes equipped with a range of driver assistance and safety features, including cruise control (with adaptive cruise control on select variants), ESC (electronic stability control), ABS, a rear-view camera with parking sensors, and a 360-degree surround-view system in top variants.
Additional features include front and rear parking sensors, AutoHold, and hill descent control, making it a well-equipped offering in its segment.

Growing Popularity in Russia
As previously reported, Russian buyers are increasingly opting for Tenet crossovers, with nearly half of the demand concentrated on the entry-level Tenet T4. The brand is rapidly filling the gap left by Chery in the market.
Dealers are gradually shifting toward the local Tenet brand, while Chery is losing ground. Notably, Tenet models are essentially rebadged versions of Chery vehicles.
