The company has filed an application to register the name “Lada PHEV 4WD”, which is expected to be used for a future plug-in hybrid version of the Azimut crossover. According to reports, the application was submitted to Rospatent on April 22 and falls under Class 12 of the International Classification of Goods and Services, covering automobiles and their components.

Earlier, Maxim Sokolov confirmed that development is underway for a plug-in hybrid version of the Lada Azimut. He also revealed that a pilot model is expected to debut in the third quarter of 2026.

The upcoming hybrid crossover is expected to offer impressive performance figures. Known specifications include an all-wheel-drive system, a total power output of 394 hp, and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.7 seconds.

One of the biggest highlights is its projected driving range of up to 1,100 km on a full tank and charge combined, making it a highly efficient long-distance option in the segment.
