New Honda SUVs 2026: ZR-V Hybrid, Electric SUV & 7-Seater PF2 Model

Honda is set to launch 4 new SUVs in India, including ZR-V Hybrid, Elevate Hybrid, 0 Alpha EV, and a 7-seater SUV. Check specs, features, and details.

Honda is preparing a major product offensive in the Indian market with four upcoming SUVs. These include the Honda ZR-V Hybrid, Honda Elevate Hybrid, the all-electric 0 Alpha EV, and a new 7-seater SUV based on the PF2 platform.

Honda ZR-V Hybrid

Honda is expected to launch the ZR-V Hybrid in India as a CBU (Completely Built Unit). The SUV measures 4,568 mm in length, 1,840 mm in width, and 1,620 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,665 mm.

In terms of design, it features Honda’s signature styling, including an oval grille with vertical slats, LED headlights with integrated DRLs, a sloping bonnet, 19-inch alloy wheels, and LED taillights.

Inside, the cabin gets a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, dual-zone climate control, powered front seats, and a Bose sound system.

The SUV is powered by a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated Atkinson-cycle petrol engine paired with an e-CVT transmission. In international markets, the hybrid system produces 141 PS and 182 Nm from the petrol engine, while the electric motor delivers 184 PS and 315 Nm. The ZR-V Hybrid can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.8 seconds and offers a fuel efficiency of around 22.2 km/l.

Honda 0 Alpha EV

Honda is also developing a new electric SUV, currently codenamed the 0 Alpha EV. A test prototype has already been spotted on Indian roads.

The SUV is expected to feature a futuristic design with a boxy silhouette. It could be offered with two battery pack options — 65 kWh and 75 kWh — delivering a real-world driving range of approximately 450 to 500 km.

Honda Elevate Hybrid

Honda is working on a facelifted version of the Elevate, which is also expected to receive a hybrid powertrain.

The exterior design will largely remain similar, with minor updates to the front and rear. The cabin may get additional features and improved materials.

In terms of hybrid technology, Honda is reportedly developing a more efficient and lightweight system. However, it is not yet confirmed whether the Elevate Hybrid will use this new setup or continue with the 1.5-liter Atkinson-cycle engine currently seen in the Honda City Hybrid.

Honda 7-Seater SUV (PF2 Platform)

Honda is also developing a new modular platform called PF2, designed to support hybrid technology and future models.

One of the first vehicles based on this platform will be a new 7-seater SUV, which is expected to be manufactured locally in India to keep costs competitive. It is likely to be offered with hybrid powertrain options.

This upcoming SUV will compete with models like the Hyundai Alcazar, Renault Boreal, and Mahindra XUV700.
