Apple Working on CarPlay Video Playback
Apple is preparing to introduce video playback on car displays through Apple CarPlay. References to AirPlay video streaming were discovered in the iOS 26.4 beta, suggesting the feature may launch soon.
The company had previously previewed this capability at WWDC 2025, and new system code now points to its near-term release.
How the Feature Will Work
According to developers, an iPhone connected to CarPlay will be able to stream video from any AirPlay-enabled app directly to the vehicle’s infotainment screen.
