Greaves Electric Mobility Enters Nepal with Ampere Nexus

Many Indian automobile companies are expanding internationally, and Nepal has now become a key market. Greaves Electric Mobility Limited (GEML), the EV arm of Greaves Cotton Limited, has launched its flagship electric scooter, the Ampere Nexus, marking Nepal as its first international market.

According to Ampere, Nepal poses one of the most challenging markets for electric two-wheelers due to its hilly terrain and varied landscape.

Ampere Nexus: Premium Scooter for Urban and Rugged Roads

The company positions the Ampere Nexus as a premium electric scooter capable of handling both daily urban commutes and steep terrains. To manage its operations in Nepal, GEML has partnered with STC Auto Solutions Pvt Ltd.

Vikas Singh, MD and CFO of Greaves Electric Mobility, said:

Proven Performance and Records

The Ampere Nexus is listed in the Asia Book of Records. It has successfully crossed 70 hairpin bends in the Kolli Hills, Tamil Nadu, and climbed the Shipki La Pass at 13,200 ft. Its Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery offers improved safety and better range compared to NMC batteries.
