Aston Martin is reportedly testing a radical single-seater hypercar inspired by Formula 1 and the Valkyrie AMR Pro.

A prototype featuring extreme open aerodynamics and a V12 engine was recently spotted undergoing tests at an airfield, hinting at a new high-performance project within the company.

According to reports, Adrian Newey appears to be working on multiple projects at Aston Martin beyond the upcoming Formula One car. A video circulating on social media suggests he may be involved in developing this unique single-seater hypercar.

The prototype blends design elements from Formula 1 and the Valkyrie AMR Pro, with some styling cues reminiscent of an IndyCar. It features a sharp nose cone, Formula-style suspension with exposed wishbones, and internally mounted shock absorbers.

The single-seat cockpit includes a Halo safety device, while the engine air intake is positioned directly above the driver’s head, reinforcing its race-inspired design.

The bodywork tightly wraps around the engine and incorporates a prominent “shark fin” flowing into a large rear wing. Additional motorsport-inspired elements include aerodynamic fins and a sculpted underbody for enhanced downforce.

Unlike modern Formula 1 cars, however, this prototype is believed to be powered by a naturally aspirated V12 engine, emphasizing raw performance and sound.
