Audi India has launched the SQ8 in the Indian market, positioned between the standard Q8 and the performance-focused RS Q8 in the Q8 lineup. It is aimed at buyers who want both luxury and performance in equal measure. Bookings are open with a token amount of ₹5 lakh.
Price and Positioning
The Audi SQ8 is priced at ₹1.78 crore (ex-showroom). It sits ₹68 lakh above the standard Q8 and ₹56 lakh below the RS Q8 within Audi’s Q8 range. In the Indian market, it takes on performance SUVs such as the Mercedes-Benz GLE 53 AMG Coupé and the Porsche Cayenne GTS.
Engine and Performance
The SQ8 is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine producing 507 hp, paired with Audi’s quattro all-wheel-drive system. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds, making it one of the quickest SUVs in its segment.
Design and Exterior
The SQ8 features a sleek coupé silhouette and is available in eight exterior colour options, including blue, black, grey, white, red, silver, and gold, with five Audi-exclusive colours also on offer. The front is defined by a single-frame honeycomb grille finished in aluminium or gloss black. Other exterior highlights include HD Matrix LED headlights, an LED light bar, OLED taillights, S-specific bumpers, silver-finished ORVMs, black SQ8 badging on the tailgate, and five exhaust pipes. Wheel options range from 21 to 22 inches.

The Audi SQ8 measures 5,004 mm in length with a wheelbase of 2,998 mm and offers 604 litres of boot space — practical figures for a performance coupé-SUV.
Interior and Features
The cabin features an all-black interior with Alcantara leather upholstery and sporty S-Line graphics. The technology package includes a 12.3-inch Audi Virtual Cockpit Plus, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment display, an 8.6-inch lower touchscreen, and MMI Navigation Plus. A 17-speaker Bang & Olufsen 3D sound system, 30-colour ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, a heads-up display, 4-zone climate control, wireless smartphone connectivity, and wireless charging round out the comfort features.
