Land Cruiser Styling, 455 hp, Advanced Driver Assistance, and AI — for just 197,000 yuan (2.3 million rubles). The iCAR V27 SUV has been unveiled and is coming to Russia.

The iCAR V27 SUV from Chery’s sub-brand officially premiered in China. The SUV is large, powerful, all-wheel drive, and packed with technology, yet priced similarly to a standard Toyota RAV4. The iCAR V27 is available in three trim levels, priced from 170,000 to 197,000 yuan (2.0–2.3 million rubles). It was previously reported that the iCAR V27 would arrive in Russia this year, though prices there will naturally be considerably higher.

The iCAR V27 features a bold, angular body with rugged SUV proportions. Its front end draws inspiration from the classic Land Cruiser 70 and Land Cruiser Prado 250, borrowing their signature round headlights. The model’s dimensions are 5,055 × 1,976 × 1,894 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,910 mm — longer than that of the Land Cruiser 300. Ground clearance is 220 mm, fording depth reaches up to 600 mm, and approach and departure angles are 24.5 degrees. The wheels are 21 inches.

The cabin features a 15.4-inch infotainment system powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P SoC with 30 TOPS of processing performance, matching the power found in the Chinese-market Toyota Highlander. The voice assistant runs on the DeepSeek AI model and supports voice command recognition across four cabin zones. CarPlay, HiCar, CarLink, and Nintendo Switch screen mirroring (via wired connection) are also available.

Equipment includes wireless smartphone charging, heated and ventilated front seats, driver’s seat memory, heated second-row seats, a heated steering wheel, and a 15-speaker audio system (upgraded to 23 speakers in the top trim). Two panoramic sunroofs, ambient lighting, and additional connectivity options are also included.

Driver assistance systems vary by trim level. Base trims feature the Super Falcon 500 system with a Horizon Journey 6M chip delivering 128 TOPS, while the flagship trim features the Super Falcon 700+ system with lidar and the Horizon Journey 6P platform delivering 560 TOPS, including parking navigation and city and highway driving assist.

The powertrain consists of a 1.5-liter gasoline engine producing 156 hp that acts as a generator to charge the traction battery, paired with electric motors. The rear-wheel drive version uses a single motor producing 251 hp, while the all-wheel drive version delivers 455 hp combined. The traction battery has a capacity of 34.3 kWh, with a maximum electric range of 200–210 km. Total range is 1,230 km for the rear-wheel drive version and 1,200 km for the all-wheel drive version.

The vehicle also offers a range of capabilities suited for travel and outdoor use. It can support a 200 kg roof load, tow a trailer of up to 1.6 tons, and comes equipped with a built-in 220 V socket and an external power supply with a maximum output of 6 kW.
