Chery Launches Serial Production of Premium Exeed EX7 with EMB Braking and 726 km Range
Chery has begun mass production of its new Exeed EX7 crossover, a flagship model for the brand. The Exeed EX7 combines advanced technology, luxury interior design, and high-performance powertrains.
Official images of the interior reveal a modern and tech-forward cabin. The centerpiece is a 30-inch floating display that integrates both the central and passenger screens. Other features include a digital instrument cluster, two-spoke steering wheel, panoramic roof, and two-tone black-and-brown trim, emphasizing a premium feel.
The Exeed EX7 is built on Chery’s high-voltage E0X platform. The all-electric variant features dual electric motors with a combined output of 353 kW (approx. 480 hp)—the front motor produces 123 kW, and the rear 230 kW. A longer-range hybrid version uses a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine generating 115 kW, which functions as a generator.
One of the model’s most notable innovations is the world’s first electronic-mechanical braking (EMB) system, which eliminates traditional hydraulic components and enhances braking response and efficiency.
Battery options vary by variant. The all-electric EX7 has a 97.7 kWh battery offering a CLTC range of up to 726 km, while hybrid models feature ~40 kWh batteries that provide up to 203 km of electric-only driving.
