The car known in Russia as the Jaecoo J7 has outsold all competitors in the UK in March, outperforming models from major brands.

According to Carscoops, the Chinese SUV—marketed in the UK as the Jaecoo 7—topped the sales chart with 10,064 units sold. The Ford Puma came in second with 9,193 units, followed by the Nissan Qashqai with 8,718 units.

Other top-selling models included the Kia Sportage (7,310 units) and the Vauxhall Corsa (6,315 units).

Notably, around 85% of Jaecoo 7 sales were accounted for by the plug-in hybrid variant, which starts at £35,175 (approximately 3.67 million rubles) in the UK.

The Jaecoo brand, part of the Chery Group, has been present in the UK market since autumn 2025. The SUV’s design bears a resemblance to the Range Rover Evoque, which may partly explain its strong appeal among British buyers.

Additionally, the Jaecoo 7 is priced approximately £14,000 lower than the Evoque, while offering generous standard equipment and an attractive warranty package of 7 years or 160,000 km.
