Electric two-wheeler sales witnessed a strong surge in February 2026, with several brands posting record numbers. However, it was a disappointing month for Ola Electric, which saw a sharp decline in sales and slipped out of the top five rankings. Meanwhile, Hero MotoCorp grabbed headlines with an impressive 364% year-on-year growth.
Overall, the Indian market recorded 111,680 electric two-wheelers sold in February 2026, marking a 46% YoY growth compared to 76,720 units in February last year.
TVS Motor Leads the Market
TVS Motor Company retained the top position with 31,600 units sold in February 2026, registering 67% YoY growth over 18,955 units last year. The company’s market share has now reached 28%. Notably, this is the fifth time in the last 11 months that TVS has crossed the 30,000-unit monthly mark.
Bajaj Auto Gains Momentum with Chetak
Bajaj Auto secured the second spot, largely driven by strong demand for the Bajaj Chetak. The company sold 25,323 units, capturing 23% market share. A year earlier, Bajaj had sold 21,571 units. Recently, the brand also introduced a more affordable Chetak variant priced at ₹91,399 (ex-showroom).
Ather Energy Rises to Third Place
Ather Energy climbed to third position with 20,581 units sold, reflecting 72% YoY growth. The company now holds 18% market share, supported by strong demand for models like the Ather Rizta.
Hero MotoCorp Posts Massive 364% Growth
Hero MotoCorp recorded the highest growth in the segment. Under its Vida electric scooters lineup, the company sold 12,512 units in February 2026, compared to just 2,696 units last year — a massive 364% YoY jump. This also marks the eighth consecutive month where Vida sales crossed the 10,000-unit mark.
Greaves Electric Mobility Enters Top 5
Greaves Electric Mobility overtook Ola to secure a place in the top five. The company sold 4,725 units in February 2026, registering 27% YoY growth. Its electric scooters are sold under the Ampere electric scooters brand.
Ola Electric Slips to Sixth Position
Once a dominant player, Ola Electric managed to sell only 3,968 units in February, pushing the company down to sixth place. The sharp drop highlights intensifying competition in India’s fast-growing electric two-wheeler market.
The February 2026 data clearly shows the segment is heating up, with legacy players gaining ground while newer entrants face increasing pressure.
