Ford Motor Company Recalls 422,000+ Trucks and SUVs Over Faulty Windshield Wipers

Ford Motor Company is recalling over 422,000 vehicles due to a defect that may cause windshield wiper arms to fail, potentially reducing driver visibility and raising crash risk. The affected models include 2021–2023 Ford Expedition, Lincoln Navigator, and certain 2022–2023 F-Series Super Duty trucks.

Owner notification letters are scheduled to be sent starting April 13, with follow-up communication once a fix is finalized. Dealers will inspect and replace faulty wiper arms at no cost. Affected vehicle identification numbers (VINs) have been available for lookup on National Highway Traffic Safety Administration website  NHTSA.gov  since April 1, 2026.

The recall impacts several Ford and Lincoln models, including:

  • 2021–2023 Lincoln Navigator
  • 2021–2023 Ford Expedition
  • 2022–2023 Ford F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550, and F-600 Super Duty trucks

Vehicle owners who believe their car may be affected can reach out to Ford customer support at 1-866-436-7332. When contacting, they should mention the official recall identification number 26S24 for reference.
