If you are planning to buy the Hyundai Venue this month, here is something you need to know. Hyundai India has revised the prices of select Venue variants upward by up to ₹20,000. The good news is that the hike does not apply to all variants — the base model and certain top-end trims remain unaffected. Here is a complete breakdown of what has changed and by how much.
Petrol Variants Hit the Hardest
The price hike has had the most significant impact on variants powered by the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. The HX5 petrol manual (MT) variant has seen the steepest increase — up by ₹20,000 — making it the single largest hike in the entire revised price list.
Turbo petrol buyers are not entirely spared either. The HX5 DCT and HX6 DCT variants of the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine have each become more expensive by ₹9,000. The top-spec HX8 DCT variant has also seen a marginal increase of ₹5,200.
Diesel Variants Also See Price Revisions
Diesel Venue buyers will need to revise their budgets as well. The HX2, HX5, HX5 AT, and HX7 diesel variants have all become more expensive by up to ₹8,000. However, Hyundai has kept the prices of its top-end automatic diesel variants — the HX8 and HX10 — unchanged.
Variants With No Price Change
There is some relief for certain buyers. Hyundai has kept the prices of the base HX2 petrol variant and select specialised trims such as the HX6T unchanged. The sportier Venue N Line range also remains unaffected by the revision. The entry-level Venue continues to start at approximately ₹8 lakh (ex-showroom).
Is the Hyundai Venue Still Worth Buying?
Despite the price revision, the Hyundai Venue remains one of the most compelling offerings in the compact SUV segment. The top-spec variants come loaded with features including dual 12.3-inch displays, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an 8-speaker Bose sound system, and ventilated front seats. On the safety front, the Venue offers six airbags, a 360-degree camera, and Level 2 ADAS as standard on higher trims. It continues to compete directly with the Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon, and Mahindra XUV 3XO.
