Kia Carens Clavis EV now available in a 6-seater option; features a panoramic sunroof and offers a range of 490 km
Kia India has updated the Carens Clavis EV with new GT-Line and X-Line variants and a 6-seater option. It features an improved design, a premium cabin, a panoramic sunroof, and 85+ connected features.
Kia India has expanded the Carens Clavis EV lineup in India with the introduction of new GT-Line and X-Line trims, as well as a new 6-seater configuration. The update for the Model Year 2026 (MY26) includes improved styling, features, and enhanced cabin comfort, making the electric MPV even more enjoyable to drive.
Kia Carens Clavis EV: New variants and seating options
With this update, the Carens Clavis EV’s extended-range variants are now available in GT-Line (GTX, GTX+) and X-Line trims. Additionally, buyers can now choose a 6-seater configuration with captain seats in the second row, in addition to the existing 7-seater configuration. The company’s aim with the new seating arrangement is to enhance passenger comfort and provide a more premium feel inside the cabin.
Kia Carens Clavis EV GT-Line, X-Line: Design and features
The GT-Line trims offer a sportier look with elements like new alloy wheels, lime brake calipers, and metal pedals. Meanwhile, the X-Line variant adopts a more rugged design that incorporates a dark theme, with a special Dark Gun Metal exterior shade also available.
Inside, this electric vehicle features a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, a large 26.62-inch dual panoramic display, and over 85 connected car features. Higher variants also offer features like a digital key and battery heater technology. Safety features include six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), hill-start assist, and more.
Kia Carens Clavis EV GT-Line, X-Line: Powertrain and range
The Carens Clavis EV comes with two battery pack options – a 42 kWh unit that offers an ARAI-certified range of 404 km and a larger 51.4 kWh battery (also available for the GTX, GTX+, and X-Line variants) that offers a range of up to 490 km on a single charge. It is powered by electric motors that generate up to 126 kW of power and 255 Nm of torque. Fast charging allows the battery to charge from 10 to 80 percent in just 39 minutes.

Prices for the updated Carens Clavis EV start at ₹17.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base variant and go up to ₹24.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-spec GTX+ and X-Line trims.
