Kia India has significantly expanded its portfolio in the Indian market over the years. However, it was the launch of the Kia Seltos in 2019 that marked the brand’s entry into India—and since then, the SUV has achieved multiple milestones.
In 2026, the Seltos received its second-generation update, and it has now crossed 6 lakh units in cumulative sales. Additionally, it has secured a 5-star safety rating from Bharat NCAP, making it one of the safest SUVs in its segment.
Now, Kia is reportedly preparing to introduce new feature-loaded variants of the Seltos.
New GTX (O) & X-Line (O) Variants
According to reports, Kia will soon introduce GTX (O) and X-Line (O) variants, adding more premium features while simplifying the variant lineup.
Expected New Features:
- Heads-Up Display (HUD)
- Seat memory function
- Integrated dashcam (dealer-installed)
Interestingly, when Kia launched the updated Seltos, it had hinted at a HUD feature, but it is currently not available in any variant sold in India.
Comparison with Hyundai Creta
The Seltos shares its platform with the Hyundai Creta, but neither SUV currently offers a HUD feature in India.
However, earlier versions of the Seltos did feature an 8-inch HUD, which was exclusive to the X-Line trim—indicating that Kia could reintroduce it in the new variants.

The upcoming GTX (O) and X-Line (O) trims are expected to:
- Be priced slightly higher than existing GTX and X-Line variants
- Remain more affordable than ADAS-equipped variants
- Potentially become new top-end trims if automatic versions are introduced
