New Leadership Announced at VECV
VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) has announced a major change in its top leadership, appointing B. Srinivas as the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD & CEO). He will assume the role effective April 1, 2026.
As part of this transition, current MD and CEO Vinod Aggarwal will step down from his executive position and take over as Chairman of the company. He will replace Sofia Frändberg, whose three-year term as Chairperson is coming to an end. Frändberg will, however, continue to serve as a member of the company’s board.
Over Three Decades of Experience
The newly appointed MD and CEO, B. Srinivas, brings more than three decades of experience in the automotive industry. He has spent most of his professional career with the Eicher Motors group and has held several key leadership roles.
He currently serves as Chief Operating Officer (COO) at VECV and will continue in this position until he formally takes over as MD & CEO.
Earlier in his career, Srinivas:
-
Led Product Strategy and Purchasing between 2022 and 2024
-
Headed the Eicher Bus Business from 2018 to 2022
-
Worked across multiple areas including sales, marketing, operations, and strategy
His broad industry experience is expected to play a crucial role in shaping the company’s future direction.
Board-Level Changes
The leadership transition has also brought changes to the company’s board.
Rajinder Singh Sachdeva, previously Deputy CEO and Chief Transformation Officer at VECV, has been appointed to the board as a nominee of Eicher Motors.
He will replace Raul Rai, who has stepped down from his position as director.
The board expressed appreciation for Rai’s contributions, noting his important role as a director since the company’s inception.
What Siddhartha Lal Said
Siddhartha Lal, Chairman of Eicher Motors, welcomed the appointment and said:
“The appointment of B. Srinivas as MD and CEO of VECV will strengthen our long-term strategy and ensure leadership continuity. I have worked with him for more than 25 years and have closely observed his pragmatic and collaborative leadership style.”
He added that Srinivas’s customer-focused approach, strong technological understanding, and ability to work with teams will significantly benefit the company.
Vinod Aggarwal’s New Role
Siddhartha Lal also praised the contributions of Vinod Aggarwal, noting that he has provided 43 years of outstanding service to the Eicher Group and has successfully led VECV for nearly two decades.
Under Aggarwal’s leadership, the company has:
-
Expanded into new segments and business areas
-
Strengthened its presence in international markets
-
Established itself as a competitive player in the commercial vehicle sector
In his new role as Chairman, Aggarwal will continue to guide the company’s long-term strategy and growth.
Volvo Group’s Response

She stated:
“Since the joint venture was formed in 2008, VECV has continuously invested in products, technology, manufacturing capacity, and distribution networks, establishing itself as a strong player in the commercial vehicle market.”
She also wished both Srinivas and Aggarwal success in their new roles.
