Mercedes-AMG Reveals First Interior Images of Electric GT 4-Door Coupé, Range Could Reach 630 km

Mercedes-AMG has revealed the cockpit of its upcoming electric GT 4-Door Coupé based on the AMG.EA platform. The new EV could offer a range of around 630 km and ultra-fast 850 kW charging.

Mercedes-AMG GT Four-Door – First Pictures of the Cockpit

Mercedes-AMG has offered a first glimpse into the interior of its planned 2026 all-electric GT 4-Door Coupé. The Mercedes-AMG GT XX concept car appears to have served as inspiration. Based on the 800-volt AMG.EA platform, the Gran Turismo features a driver-focused cockpit with a low seating position.

What do the official Mercedes pictures show? A striking feature of the center console is three rotary knobs in a turbine design, used to control throttle response (Response Control), cornering behavior (Agility Control), and the nine-stage traction control system.

The monitor setup includes:

  • a 10.2-inch instrument display

  • a driver-oriented 14-inch central touchscreen

  • an optional 14-inch passenger display

The new Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS) offers specific display styles such as “AMG Special,” “AMG Track Pace” for race data, and “Classic.”

New Electric Car Based on the AMG GT XX

The design is characterized by turbine-like illuminated air vents and a carbon-fiber center console with wireless charging pads and cupholders.

In addition to newly developed standard seats with high lateral support, optional AMG Performance seats with integrated headrests and galvanized inserts will also be available.

The flat-bottomed AMG Performance steering wheel features a control roller, a rocker switch, and rear-mounted recuperation paddles. Integrated displays in the lower steering wheel buttons show the status of the shock absorbers and driving modes.

In the rear, two individual seats provide optimized legroom thanks to so-called “foot garages”—recesses in the battery unit. A three-seat bench will also be available as an option.

Panoramic “Sky Control” Glass Roof

A special highlight is the continuous glass roof, which can be switched between transparent and opaque at the touch of a button using “Sky Control.”

At night, the roof can transform into a screen displaying illuminated AMG logos and racing stripes. This feature is complemented by ambient lighting and a Burmester 3D surround sound system with stainless steel door panels.

Range and Powertrain Details

Technically, the cockpit display indicates a total range of approximately 630 km at 81% charge.

The base model will feature two axial-flux electric motors, while the top-of-the-line version will use three motors, similar to the 1,000 kW output of the Mercedes-AMG GT XX concept.

The 114 kWh battery pack will use cylindrical NCMA cells with direct liquid cooling.

Thanks to a charging capacity of up to 850 kW, a standard charging session could take only about ten minutes.

While the official unveiling of the exterior is expected soon, an SUV variant based on the same AMG.EA platform has already been announced for 2027.
