BMW introduced the new-generation i3 with a range of over 700 km.
BMW introduced the completely redesigned i3 electric car. This car is significantly different from the original 2013 hatchback and looks more like a sports sedan. The release of the new model is part of the German automaker’s strategy to introduce the new Neue Klasse platform.
The car has a more aggressive design and increased dimensions. This electric car is largely inspired by the 2023 Vision Neue Klasse concept. The 50 xDrive version features front and rear electric motors and an 800-volt architecture.
Total output reaches 463 horsepower and 645 Nm of torque. According to the EPA, the company estimates a range of up to 708 kilometers (438 miles).

It supports DC fast charging up to 400 kW, which is approximately 30% faster than the previous generation. The battery is integrated into the chassis to reduce weight and improve body strength. It also supports bidirectional charging for home use.
The cabin features a 17.9-inch panoramic vision display and an optional 3D head-up display. The system supports Digital Key Plus for unlocking the car with a smartphone or smartwatch, as well as wireless charging for devices.
Deliveries will begin in the fall of 2026. Pricing has not yet been announced.
