Skoda Registers New Trademark in Russia Despite Market Exit

Škoda Auto has registered a new trademark in Russia, approved by Rospatent and valid until 2035, allowing the company to sell vehicles, transport equipment, and provide repair services. 🚗

Škoda Auto has registered a new trademark in Russia for the first time since 2018. According to TASS, citing the Russian patent office Rospatent, the application was filed on October 10, 2025, and officially approved on March 6, 2026.

The trademark will remain valid until October 3, 2035. Under this registration, the company is permitted to sell various types of transportation in Russia, including cars, buses, trams, trolleybuses, trains, locomotives, metro cars, passenger rail cars, and related components.

The document also grants the company the right to provide maintenance and repair services.

However, Škoda Auto officially left the Russian market in 2022 following geopolitical developments.
