Tata Harrier, Mahindra XUV7XO, and MG Hector Register Strong Sales Growth in February: Check Prices, Specs, and Details

These three midsize SUVs from Tata, Mahindra, and MG have seen a significant increase in sales, with the Harrier enjoying a strong start.

While the Mahindra Scorpio is the top-selling SUV in the 4.5- to 4.8-meter-long segment in the Indian market, the Mahindra XUV 7XO, Tata Harrier, and MG Hector saw a significant increase in sales in February. Let’s take a look at their sales reports, along with their prices and specifications.

Tata Harrier, Mahindra XUV 7XO and MG Hector Sales: The acceptance of domestic companies like Tata Motors and Mahindra & Mahindra is very high among SUV lovers, and this is clearly visible in the car sales figures every month. We have already shared the sales figures of SUVs ranging from sub-4 meter compact to 4.4 meters for the month of February, but do you know that in the midsize SUV segment ranging from 4.5 meters to 4.8 meters, the Tata Harrier, Mahindra XUV 7XO, and MG Hector performed tremendously last month and registered bumper growth on an annual basis?

Mahindra XUV7XO sales up 22%

In February, Mahindra sold 9,112 units of the XUV7XO, marking a 22% year-on-year increase. Last year, 7,468 units of the SUV were sold. In January this year, Mahindra introduced the facelifted XUV700, known as the XUV7XO, with prices starting at ₹13.66 lakh (ex-showroom) and going up to ₹23.71 lakh (ex-showroom). Available in both petrol and diesel engine options, the XUV7XO is powered by engines ranging from 1,999 cc to 2,198 cc, producing 152 bhp to 197 bhp and 360 to 450 Nm of torque. This 7-seater also boasts good features and fuel economy.

Tata Harrier demand increased by 125%

Tata Motors’ stunning midsize SUV, the Harrier, sold 3,096 units in February, registering an annual growth of 125%. This also includes the sales figures of the Harrier EV. In February last year, 1,376 units of the Harrier were sold. The ex-showroom price of the petrol and diesel variants of the Tata Harrier starts from ₹12.89 lakh and goes up to ₹25.25 lakh. Meanwhile, the ex-showroom price of the Tata Harrier EV starts from ₹21.49 lakh and goes up to ₹30.23 lakh. This electric SUV is equipped with a battery of up to 75 kWh and offers a single-charge range of up to 627 kilometers.

MG Hector sales up by 134%

JSW MG Motor India recently introduced a facelift of its popular midsize SUV, the Hector, and sales have surged since then. In February, the MG Hector and Hector Plus combined sold 1,204 units, marking a year-on-year increase of 133.79%. In February last year, the Hector series sold 515 units. Prices for the MG Hector range from ₹11.99 lakh to ₹18.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The 7-seater variant, the Hector Plus, is priced from ₹17.29 lakh to ₹19.49 lakh (ex-showroom). It is powered by a 1,451 cc petrol engine that produces 141.04 bhp.
