Audi is preparing to debut the A2 e-tron, its most affordable electric car, scheduled for release by the end of 2026. The model is inspired by the compact A2 from the early 2000s, with its distinctive “egg-shaped” silhouette.
According to available information, the car will feature a modern design with redesigned headlights and improved aerodynamics. In fact, the new model will be the most affordable entry point into the brand’s electric lineup. The car will be built on the MEB platform, like the Volkswagen ID.3.
Versions with 58- and 79-kWh batteries are planned, offering a range of approximately 426 and up to 600 km according to the WLTP cycle, respectively. The A2 e-tron is expected to strengthen Audi’s position in the mass-market electric vehicle segment in Europe.
The expected starting price is around $41,000, making the model the brand’s most affordable electric car. At the same time, Audi intends to maintain its signature quality finish and technology to avoid diluting its premium image.
