Test mules of the new Fortuner spotted in Thailand reveal that its design could be inspired by Toyota’s latest Hilux pickup truck. The new SUV is expected to sport a more muscular and aggressive design. It could feature a larger grille, sharper headlamps, and an all-new hood. The rear will also feature sleek taillights and a new bumper.
Engine and Hybrid Technology
In terms of powertrain, the new Fortuner will continue to offer the existing 2.7-liter petrol and 2.8-liter diesel engine options. However, the biggest update will be the 48-volt mild-hybrid system, which was recently introduced in India.
