Toyota Kirloskar Motor has introduced a new Tech Package for its popular mid-size SUV, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, aimed at enhancing comfort, convenience, and safety. Priced at ₹29,499, the package is available across all variants, allowing customers to upgrade their vehicles regardless of the trim level.
The Tech Package bundles three key features: ambient lighting, a heads-up display (HUD), and a digital video recorder (dash camera). The ambient lighting enhances the in-cabin atmosphere, while the HUD projects essential driving information directly into the driver’s line of sight, reducing distraction. Meanwhile, the dash camera adds an extra layer of safety by continuously recording journeys, which can be useful for both security and incident documentation.
This move aligns with the growing trend among automakers to focus on in-cabin technology and connected features, particularly to attract urban buyers in the competitive SUV segment. By offering these upgrades as an optional package, Toyota is also providing customers with greater flexibility and personalization.
Since its launch in 2022, the Hyryder has achieved significant success in the Indian market, surpassing 200,000 units in cumulative sales. The SUV has positioned itself strongly with its hybrid technology, offering a balance of performance, fuel efficiency, and lower emissions. The strong hybrid variant delivers a claimed mileage of 27.97 km/l, supported by a self-charging system that enables a considerable portion of driving in electric mode.
In addition to the hybrid option, the SUV is also available with a 1.5-litre petrol engine under the Neo Drive variant, offering both manual and automatic transmissions, along with an all-wheel-drive option. The Hyryder already comes equipped with premium features such as a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity, wireless charging, and a 360-degree camera.
With the introduction of the Tech Package, Toyota aims to further strengthen the Hyryder’s appeal by offering technology-driven enhancements and customization options, especially as demand rises for feature-rich vehicles in India’s urban mobility landscape.
The company continues to support customers with an extended ownership package, including a standard three-year/100,000 km warranty, extendable up to five years/220,000 km, along with an eight-year/160,000 km warranty for the hybrid battery, reinforcing long-term reliability and peace of mind.
