Tata Nexon Rivals Incoming: Kylaq Sportline, Fronx Hybrid & Brezza Facelift Details. New SUVs Launching Soon in India: Skoda Kylaq, Maruti Brezza & Fronx Hybrid Explained. Wait Before Buying Tata Nexon: These Upcoming SUVs Could Change Your Decision.

This impressive SUV lineup is set to rival the Tata Nexon, including models like the new Skoda Kylaq and the updated 6-gear Maruti Suzuki Brezza.

If you’re planning to buy a new compact SUV and the Tata Nexon is at the top of your list, it might be worth waiting a bit longer. Several new compact SUVs are expected to launch in the coming months, bringing fresh competition to the segment.

The Tata Nexon remains one of the strongest players in its category, but upcoming models like the Skoda Kylaq Sportline, Brezza facelift, and Maruti Suzuki Fronx facelift could shake up the market. Let’s take a closer look at what’s coming.

Skoda Kylaq Sportline

The Sportline variant of the Skoda Kylaq is expected to launch in the second half of this year. It will feature subtle cosmetic upgrades, including a gloss black grille, black roof rails, black ORVMs, and new 17-inch alloy wheels. Smoked lighting elements are also expected, giving the SUV a more aggressive and sporty appearance.

Under the hood, it will likely retain the same 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine, producing 115 PS of power and 178 Nm of torque. The manual variant is expected to be priced at around ₹12.75 lakh, while the automatic variant could cost approximately ₹13.65 lakh.

Skoda Kylaq CNG

Alongside the Sportline variant, Skoda is also planning to introduce a CNG version of the Kylaq. This model will target urban buyers looking for lower running costs.

The CNG kit is expected to be dealer-fitted and OEM-approved. While details about the cylinder setup are still unclear, the SUV is likely to produce around 90–100 PS in CNG mode, with an expected mileage of 23–25 km/kg. Pricing could be ₹90,000 to ₹1 lakh higher than the standard petrol version.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx Facelift & Hybrid

Maruti Suzuki is expected to update the Fronx with minor exterior tweaks and additional interior features. Engine options are likely to remain unchanged, with prices expected between ₹7 lakh and ₹12 lakh.

Additionally, Maruti Suzuki is reportedly working on a Fronx Hybrid for India. Unlike conventional hybrids, this model may feature a series hybrid system, where the 1.2-litre Z12E petrol engine acts as a generator while the electric motor drives the wheels. This setup could deliver an impressive fuel efficiency of around 35 km/l.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza Facelift

The Brezza facelift is expected to launch soon, possibly this month or in April. It is likely to receive significant mechanical updates.

The highlight could be the introduction of a 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo petrol engine, producing around 99 PS and 147 Nm of torque. The existing 1.5-litre petrol engine may continue as an option. The updated Brezza is also expected to feature a new 6-speed manual gearbox, improving overall driving performance.
