Verge TS Pro: World’s First Solid-State Battery Electric Motorcycle Enters Production
Production of the world’s first electric motorcycle powered by a solid-state battery has officially begun. The bike, called the Verge TS Pro, promises ultra-fast charging—reportedly in the time it takes to drink a cup of tea—along with advanced performance and cutting-edge technology.
With the demand for electric vehicles rising rapidly, manufacturers are continuously pushing innovation in the electric motorcycle segment. One such breakthrough comes from Finnish company Verge Motorcycles, which has developed the TS Pro in collaboration with startup Donut Lab. This model could redefine the future of electric bikes with its next-generation battery technology.

What is a Solid-State Battery?
Solid-state batteries are considered a major advancement over traditional lithium-ion batteries. While conventional batteries use liquid electrolytes, solid-state batteries rely on solid materials, making them safer and more stable.
These batteries offer several advantages, including improved fire resistance, longer lifespan, higher energy density, and faster charging capabilities. This makes them ideal for high-performance electric motorcycles like the Verge TS Pro.
Range and Ultra-Fast Charging
The Verge TS Pro is available in two variants. The standard version offers a range of up to 350 km on a full charge and supports 100 kW fast charging. Meanwhile, the long-range variant delivers an impressive 600 km range and supports 200 kW ultra-fast charging.
One of the most remarkable highlights is its charging speed. The battery can be charged from 10% to 50% in just 5 minutes and from 10% to 70% in only 9 minutes. This means the motorcycle can be quickly recharged during a short break, making it highly practical for daily use and long-distance travel.
Powerful Performance
The Verge TS Pro is not just about efficiency—it also delivers superbike-level performance. It is powered by the Donut 2.0 motor, producing 137 hp and an incredible 1,000 Nm of torque. This ensures strong acceleration and smooth performance across various road conditions.
The motorcycle features a futuristic rear-wheel hub motor design, offering improved handling and a unique riding experience.
Enhanced Safety and Durability
According to Donut Lab, the solid-state battery has undergone extensive testing. Even in cases of damage or overheating, the battery does not catch fire or experience sudden temperature spikes.
Interestingly, the battery continues to function safely even if partially damaged, although with slightly reduced capacity. This adds an extra layer of reliability and safety for riders.
Price and Availability
The Verge TS Pro is priced at around $29,990 (approximately ₹27 lakh) in the US. Customers can opt for a larger battery by paying an additional $5,000 (around ₹4.65 lakh). The motorcycle can be reserved with a booking amount of just $100 (approximately ₹8,300).
