Instead of relying on complex sensors embedded directly into the robotic hand, Xiaomi has taken a unique approach by using special haptic gloves. These gloves can be worn by both humans and robots, allowing identical data to be recorded while performing the same actions. This method significantly improves the efficiency and accuracy of robot training.

The company has also made notable improvements in the design of the bionic hand. The new model matches the size of a human hand but offers 64% more degrees of freedom compared to its previous version. At the same time, it is 60% more compact, making it more practical for real-world applications.

Special focus has been given to thermal management. According to Lei Jun, Xiaomi experimented with simulating human sweat glands for active cooling. This innovative approach improves heat dissipation and allows the bionic hand to operate continuously under high workloads.
