Electric Two-Wheeler Sales in India February 2026: TVS Leads, Bajaj Second, Ola Sales Drop 54%

Electric two-wheeler sales in India grew 19% in February 2026. TVS Motor Company leads the market, followed by Bajaj Auto and Ather Energy, while Ola Electric saw a sharp decline.

Electric Two-Wheeler Sales in India Rise 19% in February 2026

Electric two-wheelers are becoming increasingly popular in India. With petrol prices remaining high, they are considered an ideal option for daily commuting. Electric scooters are also relatively inexpensive to maintain, which helps reduce overall running costs.

Their growing popularity can be seen in the latest sales data. According to the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA), electric two-wheeler sales increased by 19 percent in February 2026 compared to the same month last year.

A total of 111,709 electric two-wheelers were sold in India in February 2026, compared to 76,722 units in February 2025. Several companies, including TVS Motor Company, Bajaj Auto, Ather Energy, and Hero MotoCorp’s electric brand Vida, sell electric scooters in the country.

The Power of TVS and Bajaj

TVS

TVS Motor Company was the largest seller of electric two-wheelers in India in February 2026. The company sold 31,614 electric scooters, recording a 66 percent increase compared to the previous year. It held around 25 percent market share during the month.

Bajaj

Bajaj Auto secured the second position in the electric two-wheeler market. In February 2026, the company sold 25,328 units, up 17 percent from 21,571 units sold in February last year. Bajaj accounted for 20 percent of total sales.

Companies Ranked Third, Fourth and Fifth

Ather

Ather Energy ranked third with total sales of 20,584 electric two-wheelers in February 2026. The company recorded a 71 percent increase compared to 11,978 units sold in February 2025. Its market share stood at 16 percent.

Hero Vida

Vida is another well-known electric scooter brand in India. In February 2026, the company sold 12,514 units, registering a massive 364 percent increase compared to last year. Its market share was around 10 percent.

Greaves / Ampere

Greaves Electric Mobility, which sells scooters under the Ampere Electric brand, sold 4,724 electric two-wheelers in February 2026. The company had sold 3,704 units in February last year, reflecting a 27 percent growth. Its market share was about 3 percent.

Ola Sales Fell, BGauss Sales Increased

Ola

Ola Electric witnessed a sharp 54 percent drop in sales. The company sold 3,968 units in February 2026, compared to 8,675 units in February last year. Its market share stood at around 3 percent.

BGauss

BGauss sold 2,411 units in February 2026. The brand recorded a 97 percent growth compared to the same month last year. However, its market share remained at 1.96 percent.

Sales of River, E-Sprinto and Other Companies

River

River Mobility ranked eighth with sales of 2,255 units in February 2026. The company recorded an impressive 267 percent growth compared to February 2025, with a market share of 1.84 percent.

E-Sprinto

E-Sprinto sold 1,176 electric two-wheelers in February 2026. Sales increased by 337 percent compared to February last year, while its market share stood at 0.96 percent.

Other Companies

Other electric two-wheeler manufacturers collectively sold 7,135 units in February 2026, reflecting a 1.32 percent increase compared to the same period last year. Their combined market share was 5.81 percent.
