Triumph Achieves 100,000 Motorcycle Sales in India With Bajaj Partnership, Competing With Royal Enfield
British motorcycle brand Triumph Motorcycles has achieved a major milestone in India by selling 100,000 motorcycles in partnership with Bajaj Auto.
The strong sales performance has largely been driven by Triumph’s 400cc motorcycle lineup, including the Triumph Speed 400, Triumph Scrambler 400 X, and Triumph Thruxton. These models have gained significant popularity among Indian riders and are now giving tough competition to Royal Enfield in the mid-capacity segment.
One Lakh Units Sold in Just 2.5 Years
Bajaj Auto announced that it has sold one lakh Triumph motorcycles in India since the partnership began in the second quarter of FY2023.
Within just two and a half years, the collaboration has proven highly successful. The 400cc motorcycles developed under this partnership have contributed the most to this achievement, thanks to their modern classic design, strong performance, and competitive pricing.
Manufacturing and Distribution in India
Although Triumph has been selling premium motorcycles in India for many years, its collaboration with Bajaj Auto significantly expanded its reach.
Bajaj now manufactures Triumph motorcycles at its Pune plant and manages their distribution across India. At present, Triumph has a presence in around 200 cities with more than 230 dealerships and stores, making its motorcycles more accessible to Indian buyers.

Exported to 18 Countries
The partnership has also turned India into a global production hub for Triumph’s 400cc motorcycles. These bikes are now exported to 18 countries, including Japan, Mexico, Australia, Taiwan, and South Korea.
Commenting on the milestone, Manik Nangia said that selling 100,000 Triumph motorcycles in just two and a half years is a significant achievement, and the company is seeing strong demand for its modern classic bikes.
