Suzuki Motorcycle India has confirmed that it will be launching a new two-wheeler in the Indian market on April 2, 2026. While the company has not officially revealed what the product is, teasers and industry speculation strongly suggest it could be a facelifted Burgman Street 125 — or possibly the all-new Burgman 150. Here’s everything we know so far.
Growing Demand, a New Launch
Demand for scooters in India continues to grow rapidly, and Suzuki has been performing well in this segment with models like the Access 125 and Burgman Street. The upcoming April 2 launch appears to be the brand’s next step in strengthening its scooter lineup.
Although Suzuki has not yet confirmed whether the product is a scooter or motorcycle, all signs — including the teaser imagery — point toward a new Burgman variant. There are also reports suggesting that Suzuki may introduce the Burgman 150 in India, capitalising on rising demand for maxi scooters in the premium segment. Official details will be confirmed on April 2.
What Does the Teaser Reveal?
Suzuki Motorcycle India shared a teaser image on Instagram that offers the first official glimpse of the upcoming model. The image reveals a twin-headlight setup with Suzuki’s badge positioned at the centre — a design clearly inspired by the globally popular Burgman 400. This has led many to believe the launch will indeed be an updated Burgman Street. The scooter has reportedly been undergoing testing in India for some time, and the facelifted model is expected to bring improved styling, upgraded features, and refined performance.
Expected Features of the New Burgman Street 125 Facelift
Based on available information and spy shots, the upcoming Suzuki Burgman Street 125 facelift is expected to feature a redesigned front fascia, updated side body panels, a revised tail section, new alloy wheel designs, a modern instrument cluster, smartphone connectivity, and navigation support. Mechanical changes are not expected — the updated model is likely to retain the existing 125cc engine. Whether Suzuki is simply refreshing the Burgman Street 125 or introducing an entirely new 150cc model remains to be seen.
