TVS Tops EV Sales in March 2026, Ola Electric Slips Out of Top 3

The demand for electric two-wheelers in India is at an all-time high, and March 2026 brought a major shake-up in the segment. TVS Motor Company emerged as the market leader, reclaiming the number one position in monthly EV sales.

Meanwhile, Ola Electric, once the dominant player, slipped significantly and dropped to the fifth position.

TVS and Bajaj Lead the Market

TVS secured the top spot with 49,453 units sold in March 2026, showcasing strong demand for its electric scooters.

Bajaj Auto followed closely in second place with 46,246 units, indicating intense competition at the top.

In third place was Ather Energy, which delivered an impressive performance with 35,688 units sold, continuing its strong growth in the premium EV segment.

Hero Holds Position, Ola Sees Major Drop

Hero MotoCorp ranked fourth, selling 21,434 units, driven by its expanding electric portfolio.

The biggest surprise came from Ola Electric, which dropped to fifth place with just 10,117 units sold. Industry experts attribute this sharp decline to service issues and quality concerns, which have impacted customer confidence.

Ampere and River Gain Ground

Greaves Electric Mobility (Ampere) secured sixth place with 7,965 units sold.

Emerging EV startup River Mobility ranked seventh, selling 4,146 units, gaining attention with its utility-focused electric scooters.

Other Key Players in the Top 10

These brands are gradually expanding their presence in the competitive EV market.

Note: March 2026 marked a turning point in India’s electric two-wheeler segment. TVS and Bajaj have strengthened their leadership positions, while Ola Electric faces a significant setback. With rising competition and evolving customer expectations, the EV market is set to become even more dynamic in the coming months.
