Tesla has released “farewell editions” of the Model S and Model X.
The company has announced a “farewell run” for its flagship electric cars, introducing a limited-edition Signature Edition for the Model S liftback and Model X crossover, both in Plaid trim. Only 350 units will be produced, and access will be strictly by personal invitation.
Tesla will manufacture 250 units of the Model S and 100 units of the Model X (six-seater only). A key highlight is the exclusive Garnet Red exterior color, which is not available on any other Tesla model, along with distinctive gold accents on logos, badges, and trim elements.

The interiors are also uniquely designed. A white cabin is enhanced with Alcantara inserts, gold detailing, and individual numbering for each vehicle. Additional features include special lighting effects, signature door sills, and bespoke trim elements not found in standard production models.
The Model S version comes equipped with carbon-ceramic brakes featuring gold calipers, while the Model X retains standard brakes. Both models include a yoke-style steering wheel, larger wheels, and an expanded list of premium features, including a top-tier equipment package.
Pricing starts at $159,420—approximately $30,000 more than the standard versions.
This limited series coincides with the end of production for both models. Elon Musk has previously confirmed that the Model S and Model X will be discontinued, with the Fremont factory set to be retooled for future projects, including the Optimus robotics program. Meanwhile, reports suggest Tesla may be preparing to introduce a more affordable electric vehicle in the near future.
