Bookings for the VinFast VF MPV 7 opened on April 2, 2026. This will be the Vietnamese automaker’s third electric car in the Indian market after the VinFast VF6 and VinFast VF7. Notably, this 7-seater electric MPV is longer than the Toyota Innova.
VinFast VF MPV 7 Launch in India
The electric vehicle market in India is growing rapidly, and VinFast is preparing to launch its new 7-seater electric MPV on April 15, 2026. While the model is already available globally, the company says it has been specially tailored for Indian customers.
Pre-bookings for the VF MPV 7 began on April 2, with a token amount of ₹21,000. Customers can book the vehicle via the official website or authorized dealerships. At launch, the MPV will be available only in a 7-seater configuration. VinFast is also planning to introduce a fleet version later this year.

Design and Dimensions
In terms of design, the VF MPV 7 features LED headlamps, connected tail lamps, and 19-inch alloy wheels. The signature lighting design gives it a distinctive look.
- Length: 4,740 mm
- Wheelbase: 2,840 mm
- Width: 1,872 mm
- Height: 1,734 mm
These dimensions make it a spacious MPV, even longer than the Toyota Innova. The car will be available in six color options.
Interior and Features
The interior will be offered in two themes—black and brown. It comes equipped with modern features such as:
- 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system
- Type-A and Type-C charging ports
- Height-adjustable driver seat
- Tilt and telescopic steering adjustment
- Leatherette upholstery
- Ambient lighting
- Keyless entry
Interestingly, the MPV does not feature a traditional instrument cluster behind the steering wheel, giving the cabin a minimalist and futuristic feel.
Battery and Performance
The VF MPV 7 is powered by a front-wheel-drive electric motor producing:
- 201 bhp
- 280 Nm torque
It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under 10 seconds. The MPV is equipped with a 60 kWh battery pack, offering a claimed range of over 500 km on a single charge. It also supports fast charging.
Expected Price and Rivals
Although official pricing will be revealed at launch, industry experts expect the VF MPV 7 to be priced at around ₹22 lakh (ex-showroom).
In India, it is likely to compete with upcoming electric MPVs like the Kia Carens EV and BYD eMAX 7.
