Renault Bridger SUV to Launch in 2027 with Hybrid and Turbo Engines

Renault is preparing to launch a new SUV, the Renault Bridger, in India by 2027. This model will target the rapidly growing compact SUV segment and aims to offer a premium and feature-rich experience at a budget-friendly price. The Bridger is expected to be offered with both hybrid and turbocharged engine options.

Two New SUVs from Renault

Renault is planning to introduce two new SUVs in India by 2027, including a 7-seater version of the Renault Duster and a compact SUV based on the Bridger. Both models will be built on Renault’s Global Modular Platform (RGMP) and will be manufactured at the company’s Chennai plant.

Positioning and Market Strategy

The Bridger will be positioned between the Renault Kiger and the upcoming new-generation Duster. It will be designed and manufactured in India and is expected to be sold not only in the domestic market but also exported to international markets.

Design Details

In terms of design, the Renault Bridger is expected to feature a boxy and upright stance. It will get rugged styling elements such as:

  • Strong body cladding all around
  • Large ORVMs
  • Squared wheel arches
  • A flat front fascia

The front design is likely to include a flat grille with bold Renault branding, square-shaped LED headlamps, and a muscular bumper with air intake mesh.

Rear Design and Engine Options

At the rear, the Bridger is expected to feature a tailgate-mounted spare wheel and vertically positioned tail lamps. The rear door design will be flat and upright, enhancing its SUV-like appeal.

Under the hood, the SUV is expected to offer turbo-petrol and hybrid powertrain options, catering to both performance-focused and fuel-efficient buyers.
