Greaves Electric Mobility Launches Ampere Nexus in Nepal, India’s First EV Abroad
Greaves Electric Mobility Enters Nepal with Ampere Nexus
Many Indian automobile companies are expanding internationally, and Nepal has now become a key market. Greaves Electric Mobility Limited (GEML), the EV arm of Greaves Cotton Limited, has launched its flagship electric scooter, the Ampere Nexus, marking Nepal as its first international market.
According to Ampere, Nepal poses one of the most challenging markets for electric two-wheelers due to its hilly terrain and varied landscape.
Ampere Nexus: Premium Scooter for Urban and Rugged Roads
The company positions the Ampere Nexus as a premium electric scooter capable of handling both daily urban commutes and steep terrains. To manage its operations in Nepal, GEML has partnered with STC Auto Solutions Pvt Ltd.
Vikas Singh, MD and CFO of Greaves Electric Mobility, said:
“Nepal’s mobility landscape is unique, with steep and rugged terrain and high daily usage. The growing EV infrastructure and high altitude create demand for scooters with safe BMS, robust build quality, and long-lasting life. The Ampere Nexus has been engineered for durability, comfort, and reliable range.”
