New images of the Sollers S9 have been released, showcasing a rugged SUV equipped with a 2.0-liter engine, an 8-speed automatic transmission, all-wheel drive, and a 360-degree camera system. The model has also been refined with the involvement of engineers from Bauman Moscow State Technical University.

The SUV is scheduled to enter production at UAZ in September 2026.

According to the manufacturer, all key engineering work during the final stage of development was carried out in Russia. Specialists from the Sollers Product Development Center, along with young engineers from Bauman Moscow State Technical University, contributed to the project. The university played a role in designing several components, including the interior, radiator grille, and the integration of the 360-degree camera system.

The Sollers S9 is a body-on-frame SUV with all-wheel drive. It is based on the existing Sollers ST9 pickup truck platform, which is expected to simplify production and improve adaptation to Russian road and climate conditions.

Earlier reports suggest that the SUV will be offered with two engine options: a 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine producing 143 hp and a 2.0-liter petrol engine delivering 200 hp. Both engines will be paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The model will be available in both five- and seven-seat configurations.

Standard features are expected to include heated front and rear seats, a heated steering wheel, heated windshield and mirrors, along with a full suite of driver assistance systems and an ESP stability control system.

The SUV is built on the platform of the popular JAC T9 pickup truck. Additionally, it will feature enhanced anti-corrosion treatment to improve durability in harsh conditions. Full specifications and trim details will be announced closer to the official launch.

UAZ plans to implement full-cycle production for the Sollers S9, including body stamping. Production is set to begin in September 2026.
